Hello Everyone!
I just came back from a fabulous holiday in Tremblant-- mountain biking and taking dips in the Diable River--sooo much fun!
Back to..........the beginning of the fall season! Students back to school, others back to getting serious at work, and hopefully getting committed to our health and wellness to support these endeavors!
The tip this week has everything to with proper nutrition for maximizing brain function as we challenge ourselves to do more, focus more, and achieve more. My focus today is focus!! And Choline is our feature nutrient today.
Choline is often regarded as a member of the B-Vitamin family.
It is an essential brain nutrient and aids focus and concentration, and efficient levels can be crucial to keep your brain working in prime condition. Studies have shown that when taken in supplement form, choline supports focus. Choline is also us ed for liver disease, lowering cholesterol and balancing blood lipids, metabolic disorders, seizures and for nervous system support. Choline plays an important role in the structural integrity of cell membranes.
Excellent food sources of choline are liver (only eat organic), egg yolks, yogurt, kefir, garbanzo beans, lentils, almonds, pumpkin and sunflower seeds.
A few tips on incorporating these foods into your diet;
I hope you incorporate some of these suggestions and get a chance to feel the difference!
Have a wonderful week going forward into the seriousness of fall! And please....don't take it too seriously ;-)

A few tips on incorporating these foods into your diet;
- Fry up beef liver and onions in butter or ghee from grass fed cows (other healthy fats for brain and body) with Himalayan sea salt and red pepper flakes in the morning, and eat a few ounces aside an egg, along with some garbanzo beans and a side of sauerkraut. This is a breakfast for Kings, and a good start to a long day!
- Add yogurt or kefir to smoothies, or eat with a little maple syrup.
- Spread almond butter or pumpkin seed butter on celery sticks as a snack
- Stuff half an avocado with sunflower seeds and feel satiated for hours!
I hope you incorporate some of these suggestions and get a chance to feel the difference!
